Denton
Denton is located approx. 40 miles north of Dallas/Fort Worth, TX. Denton has two
4-year universities (UNT, TWU) and a thriving music scene. Denton is always
ripe for burner culture to erupt, and it has since at least 1999.
Recently, in 2005, burners across the metroplex cities and beyond came together and formed the second Texas Regional burn festival. Myschievia is held early in October ending the Texas warm season with a bang, seasonably balancing the large Austin based Flipside festival held in late May. Myschieva found a permanent home in 2006, but has now been held in both East and West Texas! Now located in far northeast Texas, Myschievia is poised to welcome new friends from nearby states Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana!
I have to mention here the many people who attend and build Myschievia, our themecamps, and make all our other community events possible. You are simply beautiful, amazing people!
We usually have a compression, decompression, and other sometimes spontaneous events throughout the year.
