Northern Ohio
I'm in Cleveland, OH, about 45 minutes from Akron & Canton, and just over an hour from Ashtabula, and a little over two hours from either Toledo & Columbus. Currently I'm the only RC in Northern Ohio. I frequently interact with Ol' Bill from Athens, and Angie from Cincinnati.
Many of the burners here in Cleveland participate in two major burner-friendly events in Northern Ohio. One is 20 minutes from Cleveland called Primer which is held Memorial Day Weekend. The other is about 2 hours away called Recycled Rainbow. Recycled Rainbow is held near the end of September. We also make it out to Scorched Nuts which is located very close to Athens, OH and is held in June.
We have regular meetings and social gatherings throughout the year in the Cleveland area, working on our art, or meeting new friends with similar interests. We're a very friendly laid-back group that loves to devote endless hours of our lives affecting the Northern Ohio culture surrounding us, always trying to make life more interesting. Just check the Recycled Rainbow website for updates, we're on all the big social networks, and if you're on Facebook you'll also find a Burning Man Ohio group on which you can network with other local burners!
If you don't like huge social networks, try joining our very region specific message board which joins together Kentucky, Ohio, and Indiana called KOIburners, On there you can talk with other burners from the tri-state area about anything you wish. I've found many wonderfully creative people that way!
You'd be surprised how much burner culture there is in Ohio. It wasn't easy for me at first either, but now you've got some great tools to get connected with us. We hope to meet more of you soon!

Recent Events:
Recycled Rainbow had a decompression in October prior to the weather getting too snowy. We held it the same place where we hold Primer in North Ridgeville, OH, about 20 minutes from downtown Cleveland.
Also just had a staff meeting for Recycled Rainbow 2010. We determined there will be 40 first tier tickets available this year, going on sale March 1st @ 8 PM. Once those sellout, we go to the next tier which stays in effect until the event in September.
Coming soon we've got a mixer event you ALL should go to called DeceptiConference 2010! It's our first official kickoff party for Recycled Rainbow 2010, all ages, laid-back with DJ's, food, beer (if you're 21 and over), raffle prizes, and a chance to meet fellow burners in the Cleveland community!
