Hello Columbus!
I have been a Burning Man participant, volunteer and an artist since 2001. After living in San Francisco for 15 years, I am now a new member of the Columbus, Ohio community. Since my arrival, I have been incredibly moved and inspired by all of the art and activities that are happening here. Being in the presence of all of this creativity has inspired me to become the Columbus Ohio Regional Contact.
My focus is to work with the local artists, performers, and Burning Man community minded people here in order to connect and build a network of resources. Columbus does not have a BM regional event – yet – but it does have an extremely rich community. There are some great things happening here like the events that are produced by The Kickin’ It Crew. Their slogan is: “Igniting activity in community, music, motion, & art.” I can get behind that.
Ohio has two other Regional Contacts who wonderfully creative and are extremely resourceful, and who who you want to know: Everyman from Cleveland, and Ol’ Bill who resides near Athens. They are both rich resources in the Ohio Area.
