Regional Contacts

Charlotte

I live in Charlotte North Carolina and help organize art at Transformus, the Southeast Regional Burn. Bash (in Wilmington) and I are Co-Regionals for the state of North Carolina. Charlotte is two hours from Asheville, Winston-Salem, and Greensboro and supports a diverse community of long-time Burners. Western North Carolina locals have been participating in Burning Man since the first year it was held on the playa and help organize Burner events across the Southeast. We have occasional Meet & Greets in Charlotte and gather at Deerfields for Work/Play weekends leading up to Transformus. Our community is open to all - please feel free to contact us and get involved!

Transformus is the Southeast Regional Burn, held annually since 2004 in the Blue Ridge Mountains adjacent to Pisgah National Forest outside of Asheville NC, the third weekend of July. CarnEvil is a local Halloween party in Charlotte, founded in 1993, thrown by local Burners benefiting local charity.
