Victoria, BC, Canada is the hub for the Burner community on Vancouver Island and Gulf Islands.
Victoria is like a tiny asteroid out at the edge of the solar system, hovering in the gravitational pull of the gas giants that are the nearby Vancouver, BC and Seattle, WA communities (that's right, I just said Vancouver and Seattle are full of gas - but in a loving way). However, since 2009, Victoria has become active in its own right, supporting local artists and holding community events such as Carnivale and Otherworld.
Many members of the Victoria Burning Man community camp with the First Republic of Slacking (aka Slacktoria), but other camps such as the Costco Soulmate Trading Outlet have a significant Victoria contingent.
In the coming year, Victoria hopes to add a number of new events to its existing roster, form a non-profit society, and support public art at local community events such as Victoria's lantern festival, Luminara.

The Victoria Community has become very active since 2009 and now holds two major annual events: Carnivàle, a spring fundraiser, and Otherworld, a 3-day outdoor regional event. Additional small events include picnics in the park, craft nights, poi spinning, a fall beach fire/hot dog roast, and more.
Keep your eyes peeled for monthly workshops, present by Victoria's Burning Man community.
